In short, the surrounding streets are lined with trees, and the postcard-worthy houses are adorned with beautiful landscaping. There will be no shortage of picture-taking options. Not only will you have the ability for an outdoorsy vibe, but also a historical downtown vibe. In addition, I made note that parking was pretty plentiful for a downtown Chicago wedding venue. There was a handy parking lot right across on the same street!

Sometimes Mother Nature can get the best of a wedding day. But, planning for rainy weather will be extremely easy having your wedding at The Penthouse at Hyde Park. Alternatively, you can utilize the venue’s modern and blank canvas to create the most glorious ceremony altar display.

The Beautiful Lighting Throughout the Venue
The venue’s big, bright, white walls will bounce around the natural light streaming in from the massive windows throughout the room. As I shot there, I couldn’t find a “bad” spot to take a photo. The room was filled with such soft, even magical lighting. There was even a hint of the sunset through the west side windows.

The Penthouse at Hyde Park is just a few blocks from the amazing Sophy Hyde Park, a fabulous boutique hotel. This is where I stay when I am photographing at The Penthouse. It would be an incredible option for your first night as a married couple and a fantastic rehearsal dinner venue! The blue tooth record player inside the suite and the thoughtful decor and amenities have me sold. These two locations have a similar feel, so pairing your wedding at The Penthouse with Sophy is a heavenly match.
