I met Katie and Trent at the most recent bridal show season. After sharing a couple of stories, I knew I wanted nothing more than to be given the honor to capture their big day! The pair joined me for a rustic engagement session at Cassell Hollow Farm in the early spring season. It is hard to say “spring” because there was still plenty of snow on the ground, but the temps were warm enough and the sunlight was shining down on us the entire session (plus, I didn’t have to wear a jacket or gloves, so I was feeling officially “over” winter).
I look forward to seeing Katie and Trent walk down the aisle this fall! For now, enjoy their engagement session gallery.
Update: Katie and Trent are now married! How great is that? Although their day was very rainy, their fall wedding in La Crosse, WI at Horstmann Homestead was still perfect. Katie wore a beautifully fit long sleeve lace gown and the guys were decked out in the perfectly tailored suites. The burgundy and navy color scheme fit the vibe of the rustic, yet elegant, fall wedding.
PRO TIP for engagement session styling:
In case you didn’t notice in their engagement session, they wore the same colors they incorporated into their wedding day. Doing that allows you to decorate your wedding with your engagement photos and have them match the other decor perfectly.
